When I started photography in 2010, I started from the very bottom. I did not go to college for photography, but took all my elective courses in photography when I could. I had some knowledge through using cameras in high school and photographing friends as I grew up. You can consider me completely self taught after gaining knowledge from my technology teacher in high school and the few elective courses I took throughout college.
I am grateful to be where I am today and I wish I had had someone to help me along with the process. A couple years ago, I decided I wanted to begin mentoring hobbyists, moms and dads with a camera, new and beginner photographers and now is the time! I really enjoy helping people learn and if I can assist in the process I would be honored!

Whether you are a mom or dad with a camera wanting to capture special moments or if you are someone whom has a passion for photography that wants to take your skills to the next level, this is for you. Everyone truthfully is a photographer at heart. We all use our phones to take pictures and capture moments in time. Whether you know just a little or a-lot about photography, the education and mentorship program will have something for everyone. You will leave this session with a new understanding to photography and more knowledge than when you began! I want everyone who comes to me to be able to walk away with a greater understanding for their own talent and possibilities when using your camera whether it is for your child's basketball game, some family photos, or a client session you will feel more confident behind the camera.

Introduction to Photography:
Photography 101
I will walk through camera settings, composition, lighting situations, posing and more. This will be a photography 101 crash course lesson to better understand your camera to make the most out of the technology literally at your fingertips. If you don't have a camera, don't worry I got backups.

Work Flow
I will walk you through my complete work flow process from a hobbyist and business owner perspective to make taking photos less stressful. Learn the tips and tricks to better quality images, and how to flow through your photos.

Discussion
Time to ask me anything and everything photography and share with fellow attendees. This will be an opportunity to have open discussion and ask further questions to expand your knowledge. No questions will be off limits.

How to start your own business
Whether you want to start your own photography business, maybe a videography business, graphic design, social media manager or any other business...
I will walk you through the steps to starting your own business and what it takes to be your own boss or make this additional income in addition to your day job.

Processing, Editing, and Storing
I will share with you my techniques, processes, workflow and dos and dont's when it comes to taking your photos to the final stages in production.
I will share with you what has worked for me to edit and briefly review Lightroom and Photoshop!

Custom Photo Shoot
We will complete the day with an actual in-person photo shoot putting all the knowledge to the test with me by your side shooting a live session. We will review techniques to include lighting, composition, posing, and settings. Nothing beats the hands on experience.
