When Denika reached out about a session for her one year old, I was extremely busy with graduation season and the kick off of wedding season. This sweet couple was patient and it was certainly worth the wait. This session was beautifully planned out by Denika as a ONE year old session, but little did we all know it would soon turn in to so much more.
While we took Aaliyah's one year old photos, I could not help but notice how in love the couple was not only with their precious angel, but with each other. I wanted to capture this love with some family portraits. I informed the family prior to the session to come prepared to snag a few family portraits in celebration of Aaliyah's milestone.
While we were capturing some family portraits while walking on location, the couple shared with me that they were expecting and wished they would have got Aaliyah a Big Sister shirt to reveal their new pregnancy. Once I learned of the exciting news, the session went from a One Year Old Shoot, Family Shoot, and a Pregnancy Announcement shoot all in one! Talk about VALUE!
